First Luxury Overnight Train in South America

Sleeper Andean ExplorerTravel on one of the highest train journeys on earth between Cusco and Arequipa or as a shorter trip, between Cusco and Puno. The Belmond Andean Explorer will start its operation in May 2017.

The journey between Cusco and Arequipa will take two nights and two days starting from the capital of the ancient Inca Empire Cusco to the UN World Heritage site Arequipa. On the way, the guests of the train visit the Colca Canyon, one of the wold’s deepest and most spectacular canyons.

The shorter version of the trip travels between Cusco and Puno at the Lake Titicaca. This journey will take 1 Night and 1 Day.

The 68 travelers of the Belmond Andean Explorer have the following cars at their disposition:

The sleepers have Suite, Double, Twin and Bunk-bed cabins. All cabins have their private shower and toilet.

The lounge car will have a full bar with a full baby piano. From the large windows, travelers can enjoy the majestic Peruvian Andes during the trip.

The two dining cars offer seasonal dishes from the Peruvian Andes. Chefs from the Belmond Monasterio Hotel in Cusco design the menus that are served during the train journeys.

The Observation car is the place to meet new friends and breath the Andean air from the open deck when the train travels across ever changing sceneries.
